| A few choice headlines |
Just in case my Tuesday is as hectic as my Monday, here's some of what I won't have enough time to roll my eyes over:
EXCLUSIVE: Sources Tell ABC News 10 out of the 11 Top Al Qaeda figures and being held in our not-so-secret CIA prisons in Europe -- no wait! In North Africa...
Current and former CIA officers speaking to ABC News on the condition of confidentiality say the United States scrambled to get all the suspects off European soil before Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived there today. The officers say 11 top al Qaeda suspects have now been moved to a new CIA facility in the North African desert. (Time has more on how Condi Rice will tackle this very hot potato while she's in Europe) ... so far, she's not going over so well... More from the BBC on that... Here, she defends "rendition"... NBC News reports the CIA used an elaborate ruse to mislead the Italian government and spirit an Islamic cleric out of the country ... Meanwhile, AP reports that a senior Saddam lieutenant died in U.S. custody --great! That should help clean things up with this prison thing... BTW apparently Saddam is absolutely buck wild in court... get that guy on Ritalin and Cheetos, stat! HoDo steps in it again... no need to listen to Laura Ingraham tomorrow, her show's pretty much written on Drudge's top line... (Rawstory has ...zzzzzzz... oh, sorry, John Kerry! ... saying Rummy should be replaced ... but would he be replaced by a heavy dose of Jomentum...? Let's see... Democratic neocon/Likudnik placed in charge of policy on pacifying emerging Shiite theocracy. Yeah, that sounds like a plausible Bush strategy...) WaPo's Cohen comes to the same conclusion on Rumsfeld (and perhaps, dear Howard, on the war...)
On a completely different note: The 9/11 commission says, actually, the U.S. is not ready for another terror attack... (The Village Voice asks 10 very good questions we still don't have answers to regarding 9/11...) Tom DeLay's money laundering charges were upheld (the conspiracy charges were thrown out) Documents Show FEMA Knew Response 'Broken' (and they knew it...) The right says, support Sam Alito... he'll save Christmas... (seriously) Rapper Foxy Brown may be a hellion in the nail salon, but don't bother hating on her about it because she can't hear you anymore... And a report says... Hillary Clinton To Co-Sponsor Anti-Flag Burning Bill! Marvelous! (sigh...)
