I can't tell if this is the beginning of the end of my Obamamania (which actually flagged a few months ago over the bailout or just the truth behind the mask. I suddenly don't know if Obama is just a great face of more of the same. Sometimes you can compromise a little too much. I don't know if I can see him standing up to his own party, let alone the right, which as you've so eloquently stated has no intention of negotiating with him on anything. Not sure why he doesn't just push through what he wants and bring the country with. It's distressing. Really well thought out and precise.
