Shameless self-promotion: Joy on ‘Issues’ tonight at 7:30

October 23, 2009 · Posted in Florida, Joy Reid

We taped this afternoon, and the panel included Justin Sayfie, professor Sean Foreman, and the Sun-Sentinel’s Tony Mann (and of course, the host with the most, Helen Ferre — wearing a very sharp white jacket, I must say…) We talked Charlie Crist vs. Marco Rubio vs. Kendrick Meek versus the “base”, Bill McCollum and Alex Sink, and whether we’ll see a healthcare reform bill, among other things. Also on the show is The Watchdog Report’s Dan Ricker, who talks Miami politics and the upcoming elections. Here’s the show link. Tune in, or catch the rebroadcast on Sunday at 12:30 p.m., and I’ll post it here, if I like my hair.

Actually, I don’t like my hair. But here’s the video anyway (that’s why it’s called “shameless” self-promotion…)

And here’s Dan Ricker on the Miami races:

    Hi Joy!

I saw you on Issues and I think your hair looked great. You made some great points about Meek not wanting a primary, and his lack of name recognition in the state. As a democrat, I would like to see him win, but I wish Alan Grayson would run. Even though he is a freshman representative, Grayson has more name recognition than Meek does now. He is in the news almost every day now. Republicans are afraid to run against him. I think Grayson would give Miss Charlie a run for his money. What do you think?

That’s a relief on the hair! I’ve been out all afternoon and evening and haven’t seen it. I totally agree with you on Grayson. If he was our candidate, 2010 would indeed be an exciting year!
