Easy, media: Marco Rubio already has a wife

… the cooing and cuddling of the media’s newest Republican sensation (sorry Scott Brown and Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell and … well whoever else is a Republican …) is getting just a bit nauseating … just sayin’ ...

The breathlessness of the Florida press regarding the supposedly remarkable, completely out of nowhere rise of a guy Jeb Bush has been grooming for power since Bob Dole ran for president, in full view of said Florida press, and who was speaker of the Florida House (though from the coverage, you’d think a casting director plucked him out a crowd of strangely beautiful exiles like, a month ago…) is especially interesting, given that just a few months ago, many of the same news outlets were reporting on Rubio’s abuse of party credit cards. My, how things are forgotten in the flush of heated, passionate romance.

Examples of breathless coverage that must make Scott Brown green with envy to be found here, here and especially (fanning) here. You might want to keep the ipecac handy.

What’s truly remarkable about Rubio’s “rise” is how well political marketing works, including on the supposedly sober journalists who cover politics.

Switcharoo reporting no surprise to me… especially if it comes from the Cuban/American press (which, did they ever report on Rubio’s abuse of credit cards? ….) But, back in 1958/1959 in Cuba, I recall seeing the hired help (the domestics who worked for the rich people and who lived in the hired help quarters of the rich people’s home) go out on December 31, 1958 to celebrate the incoming New Year with their boy friends (the boy friends were members of the Batista Army) and I remember seeing the same hired help on the evening of January 1, 1959 hanging on to the arms of the Rebeldes those Liberating Army troops who had come into the towns from the Mountain with Fidel Castro.

The switcharoo was unexplainable surprinsing and quick to me to understand. Though it seems it is more of a human codition than I don’t know what.

And as far as I am concerned I don’t give a copper penny for Marco Rubio or any of the Bushes.

It looks like little Rand Paul is grabbing up all the attention this week; Marco should speak up.

Rubio is just a LATINO, albeit a Cuban/American one which used to carry some power to it … so his LATINO baggage slows him down, except for the local Miami media which hails, for the most part, from the same roots that Rubio does, or drink the same kool-aid that most of the Miami media does.

So did Allen West find his way to the orientation without Joyce to hold his hand and tell him who the enemy is?
