Really, I’m working

Attorney General Eric Holder addresses the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Philadelphia, August 4, 2011.

If you’ve noticed fewer posts at TheReidReport this week, there’s a very good explanation: your humble editor is in Philly at the National Association of Black Journalists convention, and I really, really am working. Really.

The convention is a great resource I must admit I haven’t previously taken advantage of. But now that I’m at TheGrio, it’s an opportunity to meet and spend time with a lot of people I already admire (today I met April Ryan. To a political junkie/geek like myself, that’s huge) and to meet the next generation of fantastic journalists of color.

So in case you’re looking for convention updates, check my Twitter feed (@thereidrport — but you should already know that!) And I’ll be updating the site more regularly. I swear.

Hope Glen Ford (Black Agenda Report) is part of that convention… He should have a very interesting point of view to offer. O:-)
