On Tuesday’s “Now with Alex,” Alex Wagner tried mightily to get Grover Norquist to answer a simple question: whether closing tax loopholes is the same as raising someone’s taxes, since both result in that person paying more money to Uncle Sam. And I reminded Grover that just a year ago, he said letting the Bush tax cuts expire wouldn’t violate his pledge of allegiance to tax cuts. Grover denied that’s what he meant.
Well my friend Jonathan Capehart of the Washington Post begs to differ …
To sum up Jonathan:
The only thing right about what Norquist said was that he talked with The Post editorial board.
