TurboTax abandons Beck
Just two days after their campaign starts, TurboTax becomes the 120th advertiser to exit the Glenn Beck show. In the UK, he’s running with no ads at all, which is almost as shocking as the fact that Glenn Beck’s show is running in the U.K. … So who’s still with him? Hint: think “gold” and “Jesus,” which in a strict, Biblical sense, is not a great combination…
Glenn, Rush: meet your new best friend, Eric Massa

Eric Massa: the right rallies 'round, even as all his dirty laundry is tumbling "out of the closet..."
It seems like just yesterday (actually it was just yesterday,) that a guy called Robert Schlessinger wrote (for U.S. News and World Report):
Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh Unwise to Embrace Nutty Eric Massa
By Robert Schlesinger, Thomas Jefferson Street blog
Is it possible that ex-Rep. Eric Massa is some sort of Democratic sleeper agent? Perhaps a clever test devised by Democratic leaders to tease out the worst cases of Obama-obsessed lunacy on the right? One can almost imagine the chortling in Democratic meetings: They hate Obama so much they’ll believe anything if it casts him in a bad light. I’ll bet they’d even embrace a patently nutty, single-payer-healthcare-touting, ethically tainted, backbencher if he was nasty to Rahm.
What a difference a day makes. Politico, your witness …
The House ethics committee has received allegations that former Rep. Eric Massa groped at least three male staffers and conducted himself improperly with interns as well as full-time aides, a source familiar with the matter tells POLITICO.
One incident allegedly occurred when Massa traveled to San Francisco with an aide for a fundraising trip, a second source said.
… The former congressman, who claims he was pressured to resign because he planned to vote against a health care overhaul bill, has several television appearances lined up for Tuesday afternoon and evening.
…to include the full hour on Glenn Beck. And he’s new-found BFF’s with Rush and Drudge (as well as the new poster boy for the Village People song “In the Navy,” (but don’t ask, don’t tell!) Oh, how to put this in a way that doesn’t seem too cruel or too partisan … Read more
Morning clicks: Massa’s new right wing boyfriends, unqualified Liz defended
Burning questions for today: will newly minted right wing darling and homoeroticist extraordinaire Eric Massa flirt with Glenn Beck on Fox tonight? … Will he wind up sharing a shower with Rush Limbaugh at some time in the near future? Can a full-on affair with Matt Drudge be far off??? And what does it say about the right that they only fall in love with Democrats who act like Larry Craig?
Meanwhile, a flashback: Eric Massa attacks Rush, embraces Spitzer … Read more
Remainders: the right wing nut house
From ThinkProgress: surprise, surprise, the man who shot two police officers in front of the Pentagon was a right wing, anti-government extremist, whom the right will attempt to pass off as a left wing, 9/11 “truther.” John Patrick Bedell is the second white, non-Muslim, counting anti-IRS suicide pilot Joseph Stack, to commit a terrorist attack inside the United States in the last couple of months without being labeled a terrorist by the right.
Meanwhile, apparently authorities were warned by Bedell’s parents that he might be dangerous, and had bought a gun; echoes of the Abdulmullatab case, although without Dick Cheney looking for someone to waterboard.
Fox News isn’t waiting around for 2012 to urge Bobby Jindal, Bob McDonnell, Scott Brown, Marco Rubio to run for president.
Newsflash: Sarah Palin and her people are seriously, seriously tacky. And now, she’ll get the chance to be tacky in her own reality show! I vote we put it on BET… Meanwhile, the gifting victims are crying foul, and defending Sarah Hollywood from those evil, evil blogs. (Cue the Jay Leno-added, amplified applause track…)
Will Craig Crawford (whom I’ve always suspected was a Republican, or at the least, a conservative…) find “higher ground” on Fox News?
Congressman Byrd would like to welcome you to the “nether regions of Glennbeckistan…” Maybe Liz Cheney could move there with the ghost of Joe McCarthy?
And let’s throw in one Democratic story, just for fun: New York conservaDem Congressman Eric Massa is quitting, after admitting he made someone feel “uncomfortable,” in a married with children but still possibly gay kind of way … (but not as uncomfortable as this!)
Limbaugh on the uninsured: ‘let them eat applesauce!’
In case you’ve gotten confused on where conservatives stand on healthcare, Rush is here to clarify things for you, and his little friends, too. Responding to Democratic Rep. Louise Slaughter’s sad story during the healthcare summit about a constituent who was forced to use her deceased sister’s dentures because she didn’t have insurance with which to get her own, here’s what the wingers had to say:
RUSH LIMBAUGH:
You know I’m getting so many people — this Louise Slaughter comment on the dentures? I’m getting so many people — this is big. I mean, that gets a one-time mention for a laugh, but there are people out there that think this is huge because it’s so stupid. I mean, for example, well, what’s wrong with using a dead person’s teeth? Aren’t the Democrats big into recycling? Save the planet? And so what? So if you don’t have any teeth, so what? What’s applesauce for? Isn’t that why they make applesauce? (full transcript here.)
Limbaugh also told a suspiciously detailed story about “a guy in his neighborhood” who wears dresses, but I’d hate to speculate … Read more
Medaite pretends Glenn Beck is distancing himself from ‘revolution’ talk
Medaite has this thing about Fox News (and Ann Coulter) … they kind of swoon over them, the way some of the geeky kids in the marching band have the hots for the football players who occasionally stuff them and their friends into lockers… So now, the site’s Glynnis MacNicol has convinced herself that FNC’s Glenn Beck is in fact not certifiably insane, and that instead, he is “distancing himself” from all that crazy talk about “revolution” on the right. Really? Glynnis starts by quoting from Beck’s reaction to anti-government terror pilot Joseph Stack:
We have no idea what this man’s ideology was…he could be from the left, he hates capitalism, he has an anti-business creed that goes on and on. It sounds like anything you could hear in a speech from Van Jones. When you read his anti-tax ravings and his anti-tax or IRS stuff it sounds like you could be reading bumper stickers off the cars or the signs of the Tea Party. We have no idea. But here’s the point. I have no idea if he’s left or right. Is he a communist or a radical constitutionalist. Here’s the point: it doesn’t matter. The guy is a killer.
And then …
Beck went on to compare Stack to Osama bin Laden and Timothy McVeigh and warned against rationalizing any of their actions: “I don’t like the IRS either, but I don’t kill people.” Taken all together it sounded to me like a bit of a shot across the bow to anyone who wants to suggest Stack is representative of a larger disgruntled populous.
Later, Beck took to the chalkboard and came thisclose to suggesting that President Obama is very close to allowing radicals like Stack into his inner circle, though he did manage to note that Van Jones “hasn’t killed anybody.” He also emphatically suggested that the country needs to “get away from anybody who’s calling for a revolution…whether it’s a Tea Party revolution or a communist one.”
Well, Glynnis, I think you’ve been had. If Glenn did indeed suggest “getting away from anybody who’s calling for a revolution,” he’s going to have to run far and fast, to get away from himself. Read more
Beck hits Brown for ‘available daughters’ remark by warning of ‘dead intern’
Oh, here we go. The Republicans finally win one in the Northeast, and already, Glenn’s getting jealous of all the attention not being focused on him. No but really, that Scott Brown comment was creepy… Still, the folks at Politico can’t stand to see their friends fighting… Read more

Andrew Sullivan’s exit, stage right
From the Joy Behar Show (what a fabulous name she has…) Andrew Sullivan explains why he’s done with the right, and will now leave the conservative “movement” to the loons (like Glenn “Sweater Bomb” Beck,) who have taken it over:
Read Sullivan’s reasoning in his own words here.
